The same 7-point stars are used instead of standard 5-point stars, not only as a hat-tip to the Bennington flag \u0026amp; Washington Headquarters flag, but to also represent the 7 nails used traditionally to hold a horseshoe in place.\u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eA 13 Star design is also used in the blue canton area to represent the original 13 colonies, much like the Bennington Flag, but reconfigured and updated in the shape of a horseshoe.\u003cspan style=\"mso-spacerun: yes;\"\u003e  \u003c\/span\u003eThe horseshoe shape, and its orientation upwards represents the innate ability to fill up with good luck, warding off evils, and bringing good fortune to the country in the future.
